How it all Began
FINNAirSea Logistics was established in February 2014, and first began operating in the Westmeadows Cargo Park Estate in 2015. This is thanks to company founder and director David Finnie – who began his career in 1975 at Seabridge Australia in Sydney. David then studied Commerce and Management for 8 years, where he gained leadership skills and a drive for growth. This led him to hold several Managerial roles at multiple freight forwarders and shipping lines in NSW and Victoria. His most notable tenure was his role as Managing Director in Melbourne for Clasquin from 2000-2010. David’s continued success in creating logistics solutions that actually resolved customer problems is what encouraged him to establish FINNAirSea Logistics.
Alongside David is wife, Gaylene Finnie, responsible for the development of the company’s standard operating procedures and administrative processes. She contributes to creating a dedicated support team and F.A.S.L.’s customer service standards, with the aim of providing you with more control over your required freight forwarding services. The FINNAirSea Logistics family has grown to include their son, Joshua Finnie, who acts as Branch Manager – working alongside an established closely knit office team, and many highly qualified overseas and local agents.

Putting our established company values of customer focus, integrity and teamwork first has allowed us to flourish when providing comprehensive supply chain solutions – having just celebrated our 10th anniversary (2024)!
